The director's film has been screened in pornography Film Fest
Who doesn’t know that the maverick filmmaker Q, best known for films like
Gandu, and his recent take on Tagore’s classic,
Tasher Desh, is an out-and-out iconoclast? His name itself, for example. Born Qaushiq Mukherjee, he opted for Q, like an X,Y or Z. A man who dares to make sexually explicit films in a country like India, dares to name his film on a expletive, cannot be an X, Y or Z.
But does anyone know that his films have been official entries to porn film festivals across the world.
His not so well-known film,
Love in India, was in fact the official selection category of the porn film festival in Berlin way back in 2009.
Not surprising for a man who does not bother about a censor certificate.
